The major functions and activities of uttarakhand waqf board are:

General supervision of Waqfs.
To preserve information and records related to income, objectives and beneficiaries of Waqfs.
To use surplus income of Waqfs in accordance with the objective of Waqf.
To review and approve the budget presented by Waqf management
To review and approve the budget presented by Waqf management.
To make arrangements for audit of Waqfs as per rules.
To appoint and remove Mutawalli as per the provisions given in Waqf.
To take measures to recover the lost property of Waqf.
initiate and defend suits and other proceedings related to Waqf.
To approve lease of Waqf property.
To administer Waqf fund.
Generally, all such works which are necessary for the control, maintenance and administration of Waqf.
To make Waqf property encroachment-free.
